Brussels
Once in Brussels head for the Grand Place, which boasts beautiful gothic buildings, chocolate shops and cafes serving the lethal Belgian beer. Catch up with Captain Haddock, Snowy and Tintin at the Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinee; don't miss the amusing Mannekin Pis and shop 'til your hearts content in Avenue Louise. Outside Brussels stay in Flanders and visit the great historic cities of Ghent and Brugge. Brugge, Flemish for bridge is known as the Venice of the north. Further south is the Ardennes region and the towns of Liege and Namur. This region is a paradise for out door lovers with wild countryside and sports galore.
The Netherlands
More than just Amsterdam. Sure the capital is fantastic with its crazy nightlife, beautiful architecture; sleepy coffee shops and many museums (do not miss the Anne Frank museum). But there are so many other things to see. Visit the Royals in Den Haag - a beautiful city with a classic air, venture down the road to Scheveningen the countries top seaside town with some truly gorgeous beaches. Shop 'til you drop in Rotterdam, party with the student crowd in hip Groningen or use University town Leiden as a base for visits to the bulb fields. For something completely different cosmopolitan Maastricht is unmissable. Situated between Germany and Belgium this vibrant and youthful city is in the heart of Europe.
Luxembourg
The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is one of the most scenic countries in Europe. From the high forested hills of the Ardennes to the twisting rock formations and valleys of Mullerthal (known as little Switzerland) Luxembourg is a utopia for sports lovers. Hiking, mountain biking, golf, swimming, sailing, kayaking, scuba diving, ballooning the list is almost endless. If you aren't a nature lover head to the capital at Luxembourg City. This beautiful fortress city is 1000 years old and it may be small but it's perfectly formed, managing to pack in historic buildings, beautiful countryside, modern boutiques, bustling cafes, a lively nightlife and more Michelin starred restaurants per square mile than any other country in the world. As an ideal accompaniment to that perfect meal sample one of the fabulous wines from the countries vineyards in the nearby Moselle valley.
