Wanderer Rail Pass

Six months of new adventures every day - and no turning back! Discover the wonders of Queensland as you travel and experience the scenery and hospitality of Australia's legendary north east coast.

The Wanderer Rail Pass allows 6 months Economy Seat travel on all Queensland Rail services between Brisbane and Cairns in one direction only, either north or south, with unlimited stopovers at over 20 locations including the Sunshine Coast, Hervey Bay and Fraser Island, Rockhampton, Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.

Use of this pass must begin within six months of the date of issue and be completed within six months from the first validity date (first date of travel). The pass is available on Queensland Rail, East Coast Rail and Integrated Coach services only. Travel is only available on Brisbane CityTrain services for same day connections to a long distance train and is only permitted on the Cairns Tilt Train on payment of a surcharge. Reservations are compulsory and, as many of Queensland Rail's services are heavily patronized year round, arranging reservations as far in advance as practical will ensure maximum benefit from the Pass. Economy seating on Queensland Rail services can be upgraded to first class seating or sleeper cabins, subject to availability and relevant surcharges.
